The Selection Committee incorporating delegates of the FIM, Dorna and IRTA gathered together on the 2nd October in Estoril to choose the squads that will be invited to participate next year.

Teams totalling 39 racers were accepted. Teams totalling 10 racers were placed on a reserve list.

Squads that have now been accepted  will have until the 2nd of November to confirm the names of their competitors and lodge a security deposit with IRTA.

Please note that no team applied to participate with 250cc session engines means that the entire grid next year will be comprised of Moto2 class engines.
