Honda offers a chance to win a family trip and more
Few things bring a family together like a day spent out riding the tracks in the Australian bush, and Honda recognise this
and are now making it more affordable than ever before by running numerous promotions on the entire range of mini bikes between
now and July 31, 2009, Honda will also provide a lay by scheme available until December 24, 2009.
The new Honda motorcycle
deal includes $250 Honda Dollars on purchase of every TRX90, CRF150F, CRF50F, CRF80F, CRF100F and CRF70F.
Honda
Customers will then be able to spend their Honda Dollars in various ways within the dealership at the time of purchase,
this can include servicing, accessories or even as a discount off the bike.
Honda motorcycles also offer an
added sweetener, any customer that finances their new mini bike through Honda MPE Financial Services will then have their
Honda Dollars doubled, that's a total of $500 to be spent in store.
For those potential customers out
there who may be thinking a new mini bike would be a great addition under the tree at Christmas, you will be pleased to hear
that Honda is also reintroducing the ever popular lay-by scheme, the lay-by scheme will allow customers to pay for their new
additions in installments. Schedules and payment amounts are also flexible, as long as the bike is paid for by the end
of the agreed term.
Just when you thought Honda had all bases covered, on top of all that, all customers will
then be entered into the chance to win one family trip to Queensland’s Gold Coast for a five day holiday which includes
airfares from the nearest capital city to the Gold Coast for two adults and two children (up to 13 years).
Tough day at the office for World Champion Valentino Rossi
Valentino Rossi was confident ahead of Le Mans, but unfortunately after a crash early on coupled with three bike changes and
a ride through penalty it proved to be a tough day at the office for the reigning World Champion as he finished with zero
points.
Fiat Yamaha's number one draw card ventured into pit lane four times at Le Mans, three
times he went in to change bikes and once for a ride through penalty, this was a result of a speeding infringement in pit
lane, Rossi appeared to get his strategy wrong as he suffered what would prove to be a costly fifth lap crash having made
an early switch onto slicks. A fortnight ahead of his home race at his beloved Mugello circuit the Italian superstar has now
slipped to equal second place in the standings and it is now his less fancied team mate Jorge Lorenzo that sits on top of
the MotoGP championship standing by one point, courtesy of his magnificent win at Le Mans.
Rossi had this to say
in reviewing his race “I had difficulties from the start and I really could not ride my bike to its best. By the fourth
lap I felt that I was quite slow and that I couldn’t ride as I wanted. I decided to change bikes early because usually
this strategy pays off. I knew that I had to warm the tyres up a little bit but I crashed anyway in that corner because at
that point the track was still wet and I just didn’t ride into it in a calm enough manner.”
2009 Honda ST1300 Motorcycle now available in silver
New for 2009 the Honda ST1300 Motorcycle is now available in silver, the classic and accomplished Honda ST1300 offers an impressive
V4 engine that is delightfully capable of providing sporty bursts of acceleration not to mention the power to carry a full
load for long distances.
The Honda ST1300 motorcycle is elegant yet coupled with aerodynamic bodywork is
sculpted to slice through the breeze, as well as offer protection from the elements that may arise.
The ST1300 also
features unique adjustable seat that has been designed for all-day comfort. Low, centralised mass makes the machine reassuringly
stable, but it is also nimble enough to negotiate around city traffic and have plenty of fun on the twisty roads.
With the French Grand Prix at Le Mans around the corner, a special press conference was held this week for MotoGP star Randy
de Puniet and 250cc racer Jules Cluzel as the duo previewed Le Mans in the company of promoter Claude Michy and the French
Motorcycle Federation president, former GP rider Jacques Bolle.
Randy De Puniet arrives at the 15th-17th May Grand
Prix de France with the assistance of some good form having added to his good results in Qatar and Japan with an outstanding
fourth place in Jerez in the Psainsih Grand Prix last weekend.
“Last time out was my best race with LCR, so
now I want to build on that and get as consistent as possible. It won't be easy of course, but at least we know
we’ve been working in the right direction so far.”he said.
Randy de Puniet also added “Racing
at home in Le Mans is always something special,” “But I can’t get carried away, I have to keep
my focus and just treat it as any other race. However, obviously getting a good result here would be a great feeling.”
Yamaha offering cash back on 2009 Yamaha R6 motorcycle
Yamaha Australia are for a limited time only at participating Yamaha dealers of $600 cash back on the YZF-R6.
The
Yamaha R6 motorcycle is the reigning Australian Super sport king as well as currently enjoying race successes around the
world. The most recent achievement was winning the AMA Daytona 200 piloted by Ben Bostrom.
The Jerez Grand Prix proved to be yet another forgettable race for former world champion Nicky Hayden, who appears
to be out of luck in MotoGP at the moment.
The Kentucky Kid struggled all weekend to find rhythm and a good set-up
for his Desmosedici GP9, as Nicky Hayden attempted to bounce back from his heartbreaking first lap crash at Motegi caused
by rookie Yuki Takahashi one week ago.
The Kentucky Kid was hindered by his physical injuries sustained in that heavy
crash in Japan and his high speed accident at Qatar in qualifying on the first weekend of the MotoGP eason.
Despite the Americans determination and love for hard work Nicky Hayden was only able to manage a fifteenth place finish,
the solitary point he earned leaving him 17th in the general standings, only three rounds into his factory Ducati career.
